Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during counselling/therapy?+

Counselling, also known as therapy, is a form of talking therapy where I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your feelings and challenges. Building a warm, trusting relationship between therapist and client is key to the healing process, and I am here to support you every step of the way. You are always in control of what we discuss, as only you know how it feels to be you. My role is to support and guide you in a way that feels right for you.

Where are you based?+

I offer face-to-face sessions in Chester, online and telephone sessions across the UK.

How much does a session cost?+

One-to-one counselling sessions are £50 for 50 minutes.

How long will I need counselling/therapy?+

It varies. Some people come for a handful of sessions; others stay longer. We'll review regularly and you're always in control.

What is an integrative counsellor?+

An integrative counsellor uses different counselling approaches to suit your individual needs. Everyone is different, so sessions are tailored to you, giving you space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.

What is your cancellation policy?+

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session fee. I understand that unexpected things can happen, and each situation will be considered with understanding and flexibility.
